How it all started

Let’s Grow Brent is a network of people interested in gardening and growing.

We started growing vegetables in Harlesden Town Gardens, and from there we've gone on to get two other sites, one at Longstone allotments, where we're growing potatoes and tomatoes and salads, and then were lucky enough to get some ground at Newman Catholic College just down the road, and that's going amazingly well as well. 

We give our locally grown fresh fruit and vegetables to food banks, sharing lovely food we’ve grown locally. It cuts down the carbon emissions massively and means that you're not paying lots of transport costs and you know where the food is grown. Although it's London, there's a lot of ways you can grow food, even indoors, on the window sill. 

We’re always looking for people who would like to come grow with us. We’re very relaxed, you can come when you are able, you’re always welcome. Just get in touch via our email address which is letsgrowbrent@gmail.com, or click on Join the Community below.

We organise everything via WhatsApp, we’re just looking for enthusiastic people who want to get involved. We don't have any expectations. We just encourage people to come along and do some digging or do some harvesting. That might be half an hour or it might be six hours a month, however much time people have really.
